Twin Mask Calls

"Cry Havoc and let slip the... well you know, time to get stabb'n"

Twin Mask , like many larps uses a series of "Calls" to convey actions and effects that occur in game.
Below you will find a list of the most common calls Twin Masks uses, along with their meaning.

Call Meaning What you should do:
Attract An ability that pulls the target toward them Unless defended, the target of Attract must move 3 toward the user of the ability.

Example: By my gaze, attract!
Bind An ability that binds you in place Unless you have a defense, you are bound in place, unable to move. You still may fight however

Bind lasts 3 seconds
Break: Arm or Leg An attack that breaks bones If you are struck with a break attack, the effected limb is broken unless you have a defense against the ability.
By my gaze: A gaze attack or ability that effects whoever is being looked at By my gaze effects whoever the caller is looking at. That person takes whatever effect is called, unless they have some kind of defense against it.

Example: By my gaze stun!

Note: If you think the caller is looking at you, take the effect, even if more than one person may be the intended target, if you think you are being looked at, take the effect.
By my gesture: A pointing attack or ability that effects who ever is being pointed at. By my gesture effects whoever the caller is pointing at. That person takes whatever effect is called, unless they have some kind of defense against it.

Example: By my gesture, bind!

Note: If you think the caller is pointing at you, take the effect, even if more than one person may be the intended target, if you think you are being pointed at, take the effect.
By my touch: A touch attack or ability that effects whoever is being touched If successfully touched, the person who was touched is subject to whatever effect was called as part of this call. Unless you have some kind of defense against it.

Example: By my touch 5 fire damage!
By my voice: A attack or ability to effects all who hear it If you hear this call, you are subject to whatever effect and/or damage was called as apart of it, unless you have a defense that can be used against it.

Example: By my voice Stun!
Caution Something dangerous is near by/about to happen This call is used by anyone to warn others of possible OOC danger. Use this to warn someone if something they are about to do has the potential to result is injury or other such things.

Example: Caution! there is a ditch behind you.
Example: Caution! you're about to back into a thorn bush.
Clarify Please provide more information Clarify is used to ask for more information. This could be to ask another player what an effect of ability does or to get more information on something that just happened. Use if you don't understand something.

Example: Clarify, what does massive do again?

Note: This can not be used to gain IC information.
Deathblow: An attack that causes death This call can only be made while the target is in bleed out. Once called and the attack lands successfully (it can be blocked by others) the target immediately dies, bypassing the rest of their bleed count and their death count.

Example: Deathblow Decapitate! Would mean your head has just been cut off. You are dead. 
Destroy An ability that destroys a target object Destroy <TARGET> (Destroys the object. Typically this will be a corpse or a spirit)

Example: Destroy Corpse
Disarm An attack that stuns weapons The target of this attack can not use our touch the item that has been disarmed for 3 seconds. Weapons should be dropped.

Example: If an oppoent swings and hits the arm holding your sword and calls "Disarm" and you do not "parry" you must drop your sword and wait 3 seconds before picking it up and using it again.
Dominate An ability that causes the target to obey the user. Dominate is a call that is followd by an instruction, usually one word, that the target must follow (This is an excellent chance to RP), unless they have a defense against it.

Example: By my voice, Dominate kneel!
Escape an ability that allows the user to escape from bounds or binding Escape in an ability allows it's user to escape from an spell or ability that binds or captures them. As long as they have uses of the ability left.

Example: A caster uses The binding spell.. "Bind!" the target may call "Escape" to avoid the effect.
Evade Dodge a range attack or packet spell If a range damage attack or spell packet hits you, you may use evade (only if you have uses of the skill left) to avoid the damage and effect.

Note: This only applies to spell packets, archery and thrown weapons. Other types have a different defense.

Example: Someone throws a spell packet and calls "5 fire!" and it hits you, you may call "Evade" to avoid the damage.
Forsooth Something is about to be described Listen to what you are being told and respond IC accordingly.
Example: Forsooth, my sword glows with magic.
Greater __ A ability that stops the common defenses from being used on it. If a greater ability is used, the normal defenses (Willpower, evade, Parry) will not defend against it. Only a "Greater" version of those defense will work.

Example: By my voice Greater Stun!

Note: Greater effects are typically reserved for extremely powerful entities.
Hold Something is dangerous is about to happen Stop whatever you are doing, freezes in place and wait for instructions
Healer An IC call for a healer to treat injurury Hope a healer hears you and comes to your aid
Lesser __ A effect with less power than normal Lesser means that it effects only ‘lesser’ auras (typically minions) and has no effect on anyone else.

Example: By my voice, lesser sleep!
Massive an attack that forces you back A massive attack both deals damge and forced the person who was struck back 3 steps. Note, even if you avoided the damage you must still take the steps back and RP the effect.

Example: Massive 3, would be 3 damage and a massive strike
Medic An OOC call for medical assistance If you or someone you are close too is physically hurt and is in need of medical aid, Call out and find help.

Note: If there is a medical emergency the game goes on hold.
Paralyze An ability the freezes you from all actions Unless defended against, a person under the effect of a paralyze ability it unable to take any action, make any movements or do anything for 3 seconds.

Example: By my gaze, Paralyze!
Parry Blocking a melee attack If a melee attack successfully hits, you may use parry (only if you have uses of the ability left) to avoid the damage and effects.

Example: "5 Massive!" ... "Parry!"
Poison A poisoned attack This attack deals and additional effect or damage after 30 seconds have past. Unless the attack is defended or the poison is cured, after 30 seconds the additional effect occurs.

Example: "3 Poison 10" would mean you take 3 damage immediately and another 10 after 30 seconds.

Example: "10 Poison Death" would mean you take 10 damage now and then suffer a death effect after 30 seconds. 
Repel An ability that causes targets to move away Unless defended, the target of Repel must move 3 steps back and away from the user of the ability.

Example: By my voice, repel!
Sleep An effect the causes the person to sleep Unless defended against, the target of this ability falls asleep for 3 minutes and will not wake up, even if attacked.

Example: By my touch, sleep!
Slow an effect that halves movement speed The target of slow must move at half their movement speed for 3 minutes, unless they have a defense.

Example: By my voice, Slow!
Stun An attack the stuns when it hits If you are stunned, you may not attack, defend yourself, or use any ability. A stunned opponent may respond to the attack however they choose in terms of role-play, and are encouraged to stumble back or cry out in pain. Movement is not restricted. Stun lasts 3 Seconds.

Weapon attacks, Abilities, spells and other things can cause stun.
Time Freeze Time has stopped IC Stop whatever you are doing, stand up (or kneel in place) close your eyes and hum loudly to yourself and wait. Staff will call out once IC time resumes.
 Willpower  Avoid the effects of a voice, gaze or gesture attack This skill allows you to avoid a gesture, gaze, or voice delivered attack. (Only if you have uses of the skill left)

Example: If someone called "By my voice stun!" you could respond with "Willpower!" to avoid the effect.
